Darrell’s occupation was a Radio Technician. His favorite hobby was being a HAM radio operator. He is also known for his fondness for Animals especially dogs including Scout, who is residing with family.

Darrell is proceeded in death by parents C.B. Derrick and Cleo Parker Derrick; sisters, Anna Mae Drawhorn and Nancy Vallidarres; brothers, Bertram Derrick and Marshall Derrick.

Loved and missed by Son David Derrick and Wife Shirl Derrick, Daughter Rachel Vela and Husband Andrew Vela. Grandkids Amber Derrick, Amanda Vela, Bradley Filkin Jr and Wife Samantha Filkin, Austin Snyder and Wife Destiny Adams, Sebastian Snyder, Samantha Ross and Joshua Vanyo, Lacie Alford and husband Spenser Alford. Great-Grandkids Bradley Filkin III, Ellen Filkin, Nora Snyder, Marianne Snyder, Ellen Snyder, David Barrus, Ryker Alford, Jameson Alford and Eevee Vanyo.
