Mr. Dwight Moody Jordan, age 78, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 at V.A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral service will be 10am Wednesday, April, 24, 2013 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with Graveside and burial at 3pm at Tangipahoa Baptist Cemetery in Summit, MS (Amite County). Rev. Tal Vardaman and Rev. Scott Walters will officiate the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Jordan was born in Franklin County in 1934. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Lackland Air Force Base. He had a passion for anything that flew, including planes, helicopters, and lighter-than-air craft. Dwight also enjoyed wood working and ham radio. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Maxie Jordan and Ruby McMorris Jordan; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

He is survived by his spouse of 60 years, Martha Jordan of Pelahatchie; 4 children, Carl Jordan (Virginia) of Robertsdale, AL, Jack Jordan (Pattie) of Pelahatchie, Sylvia Wingo (Floyd) of South America and Wayne Jordan (Vickie) of Morton; 2 sisters and 2 brothers of the McComb area; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or Shriners Childrens Hospital , 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
