Mr. Brewer was born January 8, 1931 in Holks Bluff, Alabama to Thomas Buford Brewer and Minnie Lou Royster Brewer. He was retired from Redstone Arsenal as an Electronic Specialist.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Emma Clark Brewer; two daughters: Judi Lacey of Alpine, Alabama and Mary Mayhew of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren: Thomas Monroe of Auburn, Drew Hyatt of New Orleans, Desmon Washington of Chicago and Donovan Washington of Maryland.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Sweet Home Baptist Church, Brother Harold Brown, officiating. Burial with US Navy Honors will be in Brookwood Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel, directing.

Pallbearers will be Larry Lacey, Thomas Monroe, Ted Eubanks, John Campbell, Bill Nichols and Johnny Champness.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Sweet Home Baptist Church.
