Tanner, Earl, 88, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Earl was born in Oklahoma City in 1926 and was adopted by George and Jocie Tanner. Earl was a City of Wichita Firefighter for 30 years, retiring as District Chief in 1978. He married his beloved wife Dorothy in 1947 and they enjoyed their years together until her death in 1993.

He is survived by his daughter, Jane, and many friends.

Services will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Resthaven Mortuary with visitation 1 hour prior. A memorial has been established with the Kansas Firefighters Museum, 1300 S. Broadway.
