Mary Katherine (Hiatt) Glendenning, 86, of Shelbyville , passed away on January 23, 2017 at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville. She was born on May 18, 1930 to Kenneth and Lulu (Weaver) Hiatt in Shelby County. She married George W. Glendenning, KF9CG on May 18, 1950 and he survives. Other survivors include: One son- Guy W. Glendenning; 2 Grandchildren- Guy W. Glendenning Jr. and Leslie Lopez; 3 Great Grandchildren- Gavin Glendenning, Jalen Glendenning and Jade Robbins. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Robert and Herbert G. Hiatt. Mrs. Glendenning worked as a secretary in Indianapolis from 1951-1960 and also for Tom Rosenfield Insurance from 1973-1985. She graduated from Mt. Auburn High School. Mary loved traveling in their RV, she and her husband spent 30 winters in south Texas after retiring. She loved her flowers, vegetables, crafts, and her time on the computer. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with visitation there from 11:00-12:00 Noon. Rev.
