Services for Annie Ruth Russell, 81, Golden, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene, Mineola, with Dr. Larry Kromer officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola, under direction of Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola. Mrs. Russell died Feb. 23, 2008, in Quitman. She was born Oct. 17, 1926, in Golden to the late Ray and Viola Carr Hackler, where she grew up and lived until 1945. She returned to Golden in 1977, was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Mineola. She was founder of Caring & Sharing in Golden, a member of American Legion Post No. 296 of Mineola, Amateur Radio Club and a Red Cross volunteer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Jack J. Russell. Survivors include daughters, Patricia Musgrove, Quitman, Sharon McNabb and Becky Barnes, both of Golden; brothers, Melvin Hackler, Vidor, Claude Hackler, Tyler, Alfred Hackler and David Hackler, both of Golden; sister, Dorothy OŽBurke, Duncanville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
