John J. Hinton, 90, of Log Cabin, entered into eternal rest on August 8, 2012 in Athens, TX. John was born on August 27, 1921 in Rush Hill, MO to parents John and Norma Hinton. John was a loving husband and father and was a true family man. He proudly served in the US Army during WW II and the Korean War [Korean Service Medal] where he bravely served as a Fighter Pilot. John was a recipient of eight battle stars and one bronze star. John was preceded in death by his parents and wife Edna Pauline Hinton. He is survived by his wife Frances Hinton of Log Cabin, daughters: Fern Hunt and husband Bill of Sulfur Springs and Joan Foster of Log Cabin.
