Jacob E. Eckhardt, 98, of Jefferson, formerly of Davenport, died March 1, 2013 at Regency Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Jefferson. The family will greet friends from 5-7:00pm Monday, March 4, 2013 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 7:00 pm Monday at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home.
A Committal Service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Davenport Memorial Park, 1022 East 39th Street, Davenport, Iowa 52807.
Survivors include Jacob’s wife, Anna Eckhardt of Jefferson, IA; granddaughter Christine (Finian) Kennedy of Atlanta, GA; three grandsons: Mark (Mavis) Sawhill of Jefferson, IA; Andrew (Denise) Sawhill of Winterset, IA and John (Amanda) Jeffery of Atlanta, GA; six great grandchildren: Lillian Sawhill, John Michael Sawhill, Cameron Jeffery, Katlyn Sawhill, Regan Jeffery, and Megan Sawhill; sons-in-law: John Sawhill of Winterset, IA and Harley Jeffery of Atlanta, GA; other relatives and friends.
